German Shepherd

Dogs

We believe owning a good German Shepherd Dog is a very rare privilege. We strive to give our dogs the very best care. Our dogs are very hearty and strong. They are calm, but can be  good protectors if the need arises.

When a dog is about to give birth, we stay with her until the last puppy is born. At the moment of birth, we cuddle and talk to the babies. They are petted and loved many times each day and we tell them how wonderful, beautiful and smart they are. And, they seem to believe every word!

We only breed our females once a year. We don't breed one until she is two years old and has had her hips ex-rayed. They must have good solid hips and temperament.

While we don't show our dogs, they are of show quality and some people that have bought our dogs do show them. Our goal is to raise good, solid dogs that are loving companions. We do have some grown dogs that are protection trained. These dogs are good family dogs that would give their lives if needed to protect you.

We don't like for a puppy to go to their new home until they are at least nine weeks old. If they have to travel by air, we want them to be ten weeks old. That is so they can have their six, eight and ten week shots and be wormed.

We don't sell to pet shops or brokers. We believe that we are responsible for these puppies being born and therefore responsible for where they spend their lives. Many people that have purchased puppies from us send us pictures of them as they grow up. We love and enjoy getting these pictures and updates--just as we enjoy getting pictures of our grandsons!
